Point-to-Point VSAT Connectivity
This allows one or more sites to connect directly to another, thus eliminating any third party teleport involvement. The sites are therefore linked directly to one another through one satellite hop, thus substantially, which greatly improves the transfer of data. This type of connectivity is especially efficient when creating a VPN and using time sensitive software applications, i.e. where latency is critical.

Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
In the current communications environment it is difficult to rely on fixed lines at every branch location. With cables being stolen and the cost of obtaining a connection in a remote location satellite becomes a cost effective solution.

Through our Satellite networks, our clients can develop their own secure Wide Area Networks (WAN) using secure link encryption such as AES or 3DES, and the latest Cisco technology.

There are applications for which latency is critical.  This is the case where central database applications are being used.  An example of this would be where a central stock system is being run on an Oracle database.  All branches have to connect to the head office database to query and update stock levels.  A typical star network would mean a connection from the branch to the hub and then from the hub to head office. This means there is a double satellite hop resulting in latency of 1200-1300 milliseconds. Database applications struggle to perform efficiently with such long delays.

Logical Wireless has a Point to Point connectivity solution where you bypass the hub and create a connection directly from the branch to head office.  This results in one satellite hop and a round trip delay of 600-650 milliseconds.

Voice Over IP (VOIP)
Logical Wireless can provide a VOIP handset with a VSAT installation. This will allow the subscriber to make telephone calls to anywhere in the world. The call costs of these calls are between 60 to 85 percent cheaper than local telecom operators

In order to make a voice call there is a minimum guaranteed bandwidth of 23kbps up and down.  It is essential to take this into account when selecting your bandwidth package.

Redundancy and Disaster Recovery
In the current economic environment communication is a necessity for many businesses. Due to this requirement redundant back-up becomes an essential requirement. Unfortunately this typically doubles the communication costs for a company, as local telecommunication operators do not provide a discounted rate for lines that are only used as a redundant backup. Logical Wireless has launched a product that provides exactly that, redundant back-up at discounted rates. The cost of connectivity is up to 70% cheaper than that of the primary connection.

In the event of a disaster Logical Wireless has a team that can deploy connectivity rapidly and for temporary periods.

Mobile VSAT
In response to the ever-increasing need for providing VSAT at changing locations, Logical Wireless has developed mobile VSAT units. This unit comes fully kitted with all VSAT equipment and a generator, which allows for connectivity on the go.

Logical Wireless will also provide all the training on the use of the equipment, as well as on pointing the antenna to the satellite.

Inmarsat BGAN
BGAN is a reliable, high speed portable data service, providing bandwidth up to 492 Kbps in areas that have no network connectivity.

BGAN utilises a small satellite terminal connected to any PC via USB, Bluetooth or Ethernet, to connect to the internet via a European Satellite Teleport.
